Baghban!! Baghban!! Baghban!!

Menangis jua ku ulehnya tu.. Uwa.. Uwa.. Uwa.. Apakan tarus-tarus jua ceta ku atu ah.. Hahahaha.. Well actually yesterday afternoon i spent a good 3 hours time watching a Hindi movie on TV3.. Its being long that i didnt have the time to watch a Hindi movie.. Maybe the reason for this is the long hours of its running time.. For god sake, many things could be done within that 3 hours time.. Whahahaha..

The movie was selected to venerate the upcoming mother's day celebration.. Urm before stating the reason why i love this Hindi movie Baghban, i'd like to attach here the synopsis of the movie it self.. This was taken from the:

The movie tells the story of Raj Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan), his wife Pooja (Hema Malini) and their four sons Ajay, Sanjay, Rohit, and Karan. Raj and Pooja have provided their children with everything they wanted, often at the cost of Raj and Pooja's own requirements.

The Malhotras also have an adopted son Alok (Salman Khan), who is in love with Arpita (Mahima Chaudhary) (both in special appearances). Alok was an orphan and Raj had provided him with money and education. Now a successful man, Alok worships Raj because of all his help.

Raj has a flourishing job, but once he retires, he and Pooja decide to live with their kids to get their love. One problem - their kids don't want them. This is where the story takes a sharp turn; the children decide to split the parents up and for 6 months they will live with two of the four sons and for the next 6 months they will live with their third and fourth sons.

The story shows how the aged parents endure this separation as well as horrible treatment from their children after all they have done for them in the past. Saddened by the treatment he has received from his children and their families, Malhotra publishes a book called Baghban for which he wins a cash award and gains popularity. It is now that the children come back to their parents, asking for their forgiveness, when they really want their money. But Raj ignores them and lives with Pooja, Alok and Arpita, while disowning the rest of his sons.

Movie-goer's Review:

Okay, the movie has a good theme - people should not forget their parents and discard them when they get old. However, I don't see some of the things happening in real life, especially things like Amitabh's glasses not being repaired. Sometimes the anger was also justified such as the late-night typewriter incident and the daughter coming back home at 3 AM (since they didn't know the true story).

Somethings were just over-doing it, such as Salman and Mahima literally worshiping Salman's parents. The ever-growing love between Amitabh and Hema was really sweet. It was nice to see elderly, true love after watching cliched perfect 20s romance in every movie. What I especially didn't like about this movie is that it put women back in the 19th century where they are supposed to sit on the edge of their chair every evening, waiting for their husband to open the door; they should live in the kitchen. Hema's dialogue, "Times may change, but a woman's role never changes" ticked me off.

However, this whole movie was made up by the climax, which was one extraordinary speech by Amitabh. His perfect eloquence is unmatchable by any other orator in Indian cinema. His words envelope you and take you on an emotional roller coaster.

My Review:

The movie start a lil bit slow.. Someone with no patience will simply go and dont watch the movie.. Well as a fan of Salman Khan (Not a big fan of him though.. But he is much better than the other khan's) his appearance in the movie was only after almost 30 minutes of its show time.. Sakit ati jua lah i tunggu.. The other sons and daugther-in-laws were not famous.. So i dont really bother about them..

The happiness of their family institution can be seen clearly on their wedding anniversary of the couple.. This couple is so romantic in the sense that they do love and care about each other.. they know each other very well.. Gosh!! Simply a perfect couple.. For no obvious, i keep on smiling watching their actions and reactions..

The husband cant do do the tie himself, so every morning the wife would do the tie for him..

The wifey ask him: "why cant u do the tie yourself"
The husband answered: "if i do the tie my self, then i would not have time for this" (while hugging her lovely wife"

Aint that romantic?

The husband and wifey thought that their partner forget about their wedding anniversary but in actual fact, they are not.. They simply want their partner to greet them first..

Owh whenever the husband is not with the wifey, he always feel that he can live without her.. The husband says: "i cant breath without u"

"my heart beats when u are by my side" added the husband..

Aint that cutely-romantic?

Then the whole big family came to the couple house and requested for a wedding anniversary celebration.. Urm.. Many people idolize the way the couple has raised their children.. The couple simply raised their children with full of care and love.. They put their children requirment as a main priority and their's goes next.. They were simply self-sacrificing..

But not long after that the husband retired and wanted to spend more time with the family members and want to live with them too.. But the children very reluctant to have them and in order to indirectly say no to their father wish, they made this so stupid arrangement to split their parents..

Gila ni durang ah.. How in the world can we separate a pair of two?

Lets imagine it in the case of shoes.. How can be a pair of shoes be functioned if there is only one side of the shoe only?

Now lets imagine it in the case of a trousers? would u wear a trouser without the "s"? Hell u would be naked in the public..

So is couple, it would not be meaningful to live without the love partner.. Stupid children..

No matter what due to believe and trust on their children, the wifey would not wnat to think negative of their children and suggested that they should give it a try.. But when this happened, they received an ill treatment from their son and their daughter-in-law too..

Nanges ku!! Nanges ku!! Nanges ku!!

Enough.. i have write enough about the movie and try to write less just to wrap things up..

Luckily, the couple has adopted a son by the name of Alokh (acted by Salman Khan).. He as an adopted son loves the couple far much better than the love the couple got from their own children.. Alokh does not only love and care of the couple but also respect them..

The morale of the story here is that:

1. Age of love:
Age doesnt stop people to be in love and to show their love.. Love at the young age might not be good but neither its bad.. The thing to be noted here is to support each other..

2. Love is pure:
Do not pretend to love somebody.. If you dont love that someone, simply go and tell her/him your feelings.. U dont have to act good but in actual fact u dont love them in return.. By doing so, actually hurt that someone's fellings.. Cruel u!!

Its almost normal that when u love someone, that someone doesnt love u in return.. And when someone loves u, u dont love that someone back.. I would say the probability for this situation to happen is almost 74%.. Hahahaha.. The remaining percentage are on a better side..

3. Love needs no reasons:
U should not love someone because of their background, wealth and so on.. Its bad to do so..

I hate to say this but there is people out concerns about looks.. Looks come first.. Then another some out there want looking on the partner's to be financially stable.. Owh, another some have many other reasons..

Loving someone with reason, wont last long!! Trust me!!

4. Share your love:
If there are lots of love then try to love someone who really needs the love.. There is people out there never get the chance to feel what love is.. Some out there simply have too much love with them.. So why dont we just share the love with others especially with those that is a lil bit unfortunate?

Everyone deserves to be loved.. It reminds me of the song: "loved to be loved by you"

5. Appreciates the love..

Do appreciate those people around you and their love too.. U might never knows that you'll regret it in the future for not appreciating the love given at the first place..

Its much better to be with someone who loves u, than be with someone who doesnt love u.. So appreciate those people out there who loves you..
