31st May? What happened?

Its the 47th Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (ABDB).. The annual celebration was held at the new Lumut base camp..

Due to the fact that it is a public holiday, there was a long cue at our border especially at the Sungai Tujuh Post Control..

Urm, today is the last day for the "Pesta Kerjaya 2008".. Its a good place for those job-seekers..

Just to remind everyone that today is the world no tobacco day and the enforcement of the tobacco order.. Ehehehe.. Am looking forward for the day.. Need the details of the tobacco order?

Will share the detail in the near future.. But what i love most is that the initiative taken by some of the retail shop as for the tobacco order.. They have the label with them now, right behind their cashier counter..

Plus love the fact that only one packet of the ciggy is to be displayed at their shelf.. This photo was taken earlier this afternoon..

Kesederhanaan Di Pelbagai Aspek..

Keprihatinan Pemerintah Negara amat saya kagumi..

The confession of Faiz-Hs..

Mind my language.. Sorry for any grammatical, spelling or typo-errors.. This is the confession of mine..

Well, all this while i wasnt really open to share my dissatisfaction on the service provided by the B-Mobile for the package that i have subscribed especially on the low internet connectivity and the introduction of new pricing in less than a month time..

It seems that i jump too quickly to subscribe the zoom package.. A total dissatisfaction..

Despite my strong dissatisfaction on the services provided by the B-Mobile, my dissatisfaction on Baiduri Bank is even stronger.. A very strong dissapointment..

Why? Reason?

Earlier today i received the original copy of the loan agreement signed between me and Baiduri Bank on the day i subscribe for the package.. That was on the 4th April 2008..

Guess what its not just the general public (subscriber and consumer) got confused with the package provided but the providers are in confusion too.. This is not good.. This is bad.. Really bad.. Strong dissapointment.. Huge dissatisfaction..

Okay dear blog reader, on the date mentioned above i was applying for the Consumer Goods Financing Loan as for the Zoom Broadband and Computer Package..

As per the notification letter to the vendor (B-Mobile), it stated that my loan application is approved..

Model: 48 Months Zoom Rental
Type: B$2235

As per the price quotation of the package:
Package options: 48 Months Zoom Package at the amount of B$2160
Zoom Broadband Registration: Local Deposit and License Fee of B$75
Repayment Period: Bank Loan 48 Months

Total Amount: B$2235

The copy of these two documents were given during the application and everything seemed to be okay except for the internet connectivity of course..

So if everthing is fine then what is my real dissapointment? What is my dissatisfaction?

As being mentioned above, today i received the original copy of the facility letter or the loan agreement.. Apparently that the facility letter does not support both the vendor notification letter from Baiduri Bank and Price Quotation from the B-Mobile.. It contradicts against each other.. This should not happen.. Should never happen!!

As per the facility letter it says that i was subscribing for:
Tenor: Scheme C of 2 years
Interest: Scheme C of 6% per annum
Repayment period of 24 Months
Monthly installment of B$104.31

Do you notice any difference in the details of the documents?

Yes!! Yes!! Yes!! The repayment period and the monthly installment amount too.. I should only pay less..

I did ask regarding this transaction but the Baiduri's operator cant give me any further explaination but "its for your computer financing.."

Now, its self-explainatory.. No wonder my account was debited by that amount instead of B$6+

WORST!!

CONFUSED finance provider makes me dissatisfied..
BAD internet conectivity provider makes me dissapointed..

So what i want in return?

I want the following:

1. The facility letter to be amended.. The double entries of the transaction to be corrected..

2. The amount that have been debited in my account to be credited, so that only the real charges will be debited.. I know it is possible to do so.. Reversal posting.. Rectify the transaction..

Owh.. The purpose of this entry is to share my dissappointment and dissatisfaction on the Zoom Package.. No one is to be blamed.. Its an opportunity for everyone to improve themselves..

I'll make a call to Baiduri Bank later to discuss on this matter.. So obviously this posting will be updated again..

My commentary review..

i was blog hopping and found that Brunei Lifestyle was also writing on the result of the energy conservation marathon that was done on the 24th May..

As per his post, the factual data in our posting was the same.. (same source.. factual data always the same).. But i must say that i would not agree with his reasoning on the marathon's result..

I quote: "Today, the paper reported that officials cited the main reason for the increase was due to the hot weather on that day and that a number of events happened in the evening, like the final of ASTRO’s Akademi Fantasia so families stayed indoor to watch it.."

My commentary review for his posting is that:

Increase in the energy usage.. This is really crucial!! But to say that the increase energy usage during the marathon was due to the AF's final, it does not make sense.. Why?

This is not possible, relative to the timing factor..

Energy conservation marathon: 12hrs from 9am to 9pm..
Astro's Akademi Fantasia final was from 9pm to 11.30pm..

Definitely, it is not possible that the event was taken into account in the result..

But in general, i must agree that it does contribute to the increase in the energy usage.. (if there was no time frame)

Any how, i must say his blog is very informative.. So dear blog reader, link him to your blogspot.. Its something worth reading!!

Merokok??

Penguatkuasaan itulah jawapan..

Inadequate awareness campaign..

Back to the preceding posting on the half-day energy-conservation marathon on the 24th May.. It shows that we (Bruneians) use more energy during the marathon..

As referring to Brunei Times, the Energy Division at the Prime Minister's Office and the Electrical Department found out that Bruneians consumed approximately 5337MW of electricity during the 12-hour marathon.. That was an increase of about 107MW from readings that were taken for the same period of time on April 19..

This result was contradict to the Brunei Times polling on: Would you switch to energy-efficient electrical appliances for the half-day energy conservation marathon?

As per the polling:
Yes: 82%
No : 18%

So i bet, this polling is not a good indicator for the energy usage.. Otherwise, the usage during the marathon should have been decreased.. Or perhaps, the percentage of the voters is reflecting a very minor population of Brunei.. Total votes of no more than 200 votes, cant be used as an indicator..

This confirmed by the disclaimer that the web poll presented there is not scientific and as such poll results generated should not be taken as representative of the views of the public or internet users who have chosen to participate..

So for what reason actually this electrical usage been increased especially during the marathon?

I have no absolute answer for this question but i strongly believe that this was as a result of inadequate information given to the general public on the campaign itself.. Most of my friends told me that they were not aware of the existence of this marathon.. Lack of promotion? Maybe..

However, on the other hand if everyone is aware of the campaign then how in the world will we be able to know the real/exact electrical (energy) usage of the Bruneians?

So what am saying here is, the statistical data obtained from the marathon is not so significant but the main task here is to increase the general public awareness on the energy conservation..

I strongly believe that through an effective awareness campaign, then only the general public can but it into practice.. I know its hard to change the habits but we should start now..

Try to use the energy prudently!!

Isu: Subsidi Produk Petroleum..

- Kurangkan penggunaan alat hawa dingin kenderaan

Finally it comes to an end..

Actually i could just update my previous posting on the AF6 final but i just want to do this in a clean new sheet.. Whahaha.. Otherwise, the posting will be very long..

Ok, what is my review for the AF6 final? Keep on reading!!

Well the show started kinda okay with a good opening performance from Adam.. He is a good dancer.. But the performance was a lil bit too Rain-ish.. Whahaha.. The music was a lil bit more on the King of Rock, M.J.. :p

Lets move on to the so-called first performance for tonight..

Toi sang Mawi's song, Cinta Zulaikha.. His performance was considerably not bad.. Wasnt that bad.. I wont blame him for that.. Perhaps, the main reason for this is that i only love the chorus part of the song.. He and the wifee on stage.. Sweet.. Rate: 2.5/5

Then Riz sang his new song, Hanya Sandiwara.. I simply dont like the song.. I cant engage to the song.. Its very foreign to me.. I might never like the song.. The Riz factor wasnt there.. Such a waste.. If he was given a much better song, then he would have performed way much better.. Jazz wasnt for him.. Rate: 2.5/5

Bukan Di Sini sang by Nubhan was relatively nice.. It suits his voice.. The only thing that i dont like is his body gestures.. Ehehehe.. He cant dance.. But it was a good try though.. Rate: 3/5

Nadia's new song wasnt that nice.. I kinda dont like it.. Am not so sure why.. As always, Nadia performance was very very good but she's just plain.. I seconded Adlin suggestion, that Nadia need to have some variation in her performances.. Rate: 3/5

I simply love the next song: Atas Nama Cinta.. I went to Rossa's concert and since then i start to love that song.. Am expecting to see a spectacular performance from Stacy but there wasnt any.. Its not that she doesnt performed well, but maybe i expected too much from her.. Great expectation leads to a huge disappointment.. Rate: 3.5/5

That is the 1st round.. As for the 2nd round, my review will be a lil bit in a shorter version..

Toi:
Paling Terindah.. The song wasnt that nice.. I dont know why.. He performed slightly better that the 1st round.. Ning's claimed that it was Toi's second best performance over the period of 10 weeks.. I must agree with her.. Rate: 3/5

Nubhan:
His new song: Ada Untukmu was nice.. Suits best with his vocal.. I kinda love it.. The music/song arrangement was good.. Slow love song is always my favourite.. Nubhan fully utilised his vocal ability to sing the song.. I must say, i love Nubhan's voice but for no obvious reasons, dont like his face.. Whahaha.. Rate: 4/5

Nadia:
She sang Mila's Aku Lebih Tahu.. Nothing new.. She can perform but its plain.. She should put more colour to the song.. Despite the fact that i dont really like Mila, but i must say Mila version of the song is far much better.. Rate: 3/5

Riz:
11 Januari.. This song meant something very special to me.. I still remember one of my posting was about this song.. This song reminds me of my ex actually.. But that was a different story.. I must say that i dont like Riz's version of the song.. Rate: 3/5

Stacy:
Her new song really tailored for her.. Aku Stacy.. But i must say the song wasnt that nice.. Blame the song.. Nevertheless, Stacy performance always nice.. She has nothing be worried for.. She can sing.. She can dance.. She's a great performer.. Rate: 3/5

My verdict based on their performance:

1. Nubhan: 70/100
2. Stacy: 65/100
3. Nadia: 60/100
4. Riz: 55/100
5. Toi: 55/100

The Result:
1. Stacy
2. Riz
3. Nubhan
4. Toi
5. Nadia

Here i want to share Nubhan's Ada Untukmu Lyric..

Di sana pungguk menanti
Mengharap bulan membalas rindu di hati
Di sini aku berdiri
Menunggu penuh dengan kesabaran

Tanpa manis madah
Janji yang puitis
Tuk persembahan
Hanya ketulusan
Sekeping hati suci

Aku
Berikan kasih
Kalau itu yang kau mahu dari ku
Aku
Berikan cinta
Untuk membahagiakan hari mu
Aku
Sayang dirimu (menyayangimu)
Biarpun nafas ku sampai terhenti

Akan ku kota janji kita
Mendirikan Taj Mahal cinta
Seteguh kasih
Shah Jehan kepada Mumtaznya

Terasa indah pabila berdua
Semakin tiba saat bahagia
Merai cinta kita

My verdict? Whahaha.. Am not a big fan of any.. Stacy would make a good champion but am expecting for Nubhan's and Toi's performance.. So? What am expecting for is a crazy night.. Not too serious..

Keputusan Pulau Batu Putih..

Energy-Conservation Marathon

Tomorrow, Saturday, 24th May 2008 will be Brunei’s half-day energy-conservation marathon.. The marathon will be from 9 am to 9 pm, in which the Energy Division of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), urged the Bruneians to take part in the ‘e-Saving’ simply by turning off unused electrical appliances, use them in moderation and switch to energy-efficient equipments..

If concentrate effort was given to cut down the unnecessary electricity use then the Bruneians can save quite a lot energy.. Again this situation will only happen, if everybody is support the idea of energy conservation.. For that reason, at least we should join the energy-conservation marathon to prove that considerable energy reductions are possible through a more effective use..

Statistic:
According to the International Energy Agency, Brunei is the third highest per capita consumer of electricity in Asia, after Singapore and Japan.. The bulk of the energy goes to the domestic and government lighting and power.. The rest is used in commerce and industry, and a small portion for street lighting..

From the Energy Division of the PMO website's : Three Points for Saving Energy at Home..

Point 1: Choose Well.. Saving Energy at Home Starts with Choosing Household..

Electrical Appliances..

(1) Choose Products with Energy-Saving Features..

When you purchase household appliances for the first time or when replacing your old appliances, check and ask about the energy-saving features.. The household appliances with energy-saving features may cost more than the conventional ones; however, you can save a significant amount of energy and monthly electricity bill..

(2) Select the Features and Size that Fit Your Needs..

Wait a minute! Are you really going to use all those features? Household electrical appliances are available with various features and in a variety of sizes.. Depending on your situation, you may not need all the features, so when there is a choice, choose products that fit your lifestyle and your family’s needs..

Point 2: Use Wisely.

Small changes in how you use appliances are reflected in a more efficient usage of electricity, whether you have old appliances or new appliances with outstanding energy-saving features. By learning the smart way to use appliances and making it a habit, you can enjoy a lifestyle where you can save energy effectively and efficiently!

Point 3: Smart Living.

A well-sealed house enables you to live pleasantly and comfortably without consuming so much energy because less heat can penetrate into the air-conditioned house and the cool air is retained well thanks to insulation. Remember to close the windows and doors and to draw the curtains when you are in an air-conditioned room..

In conclusion:
UTILISE OUR ELECTRICITY PRUDENTLY & START WHEREVER YOU CAN!!

Random Thought..

Owh this is my random thought..

I might write further on the one or two subject(s) mention below:

1. Music: American Idol Result..

David Cook won the American Idol 7 with by 12 millions vote.. Has the American voted the right person? Am not denying the fact that he is good but the thing here is Archuleta made a better performance that day..

David Cook is creative but Archuleta can sing better.. Not just sing better but perform better too.. Am not shocked but upset that he has won the competition..

2. Politic: The so-called covert wars and challenged legacies..

A book was recently published name: Mahathir vs. Abdullah

The book is a compilation of articles of the vicious war of words and the merciless attack of TDM on his handpicked successor, AAB..

3. Life: Energy Day 2008..

Lets join the energy-conservation marathon on 24th May 2008, from 9am to 9pm.. The Energy Division urged to join the marathon simply by turning off unused electrical appliances, use them in moderation and switch to energy-efficient equipments..

Statistic: According to the International Energy Agency, Brunei is the highest per capita consumer of electricity in the Asian region, after Singapore and Japan..

So lets reduce the number!!

4. Politic: Pulau Batu Putih..

This is on the claimed make by Malaysia and Singapore on the Pulau Batu Putih or also known as the Pedra Branca.. The ICJ judgement will be delivered by its vice president and acting president, Judge Awn Shawkat Al-Khasawneh..

Malaysia and Singapore are involved in a tussle for sovereignty over Pulau Batu Putih, each laying claim to the 0.2-hectare island.. Its clear that the Pulau Batu Putih is very near to Malaysia with only 12km rather than Singapore with 64km..

Tomorrow is the judgement day.. Stay tune at 4pm.. Watch the news..

5. Its almost 3am, i miss my bed now.. Whahaha.. Catch u up later.. I might write a posting on Audit too.. But i'll think about it again..

Economics: am loving it..

I myself am not sure why in the world whould i make a post on the above mentioned subject.. Economics? What is Economics? For what reason i love Economics? Well, i wont have to define the term "Economics" as the term itself is self-explainatory by its own already..

But to some extend there also people who might overlooked the term too.. Economics is something that is not that complicated, both theory-wise and practical-wise.. But making a Economic Decision is difficult.. It takes time and courage to make a wise decision..

Owh.. Refering to yesterday Brunei Times Paper, it mentioned that "Fewer locals interested in economics"

Its kinda sad to know that this situation happened in Brunei.. The number of students taking Economics and Economics teachers/tutors/lecturers teaching are fewer now.. Its not a good indication for the nation in the near future..

It was mentioned in the article that based on the research carried by a Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) lecturer, Rosmawijah Jawawi found that the number of Bruneian students taking Economics fell by 50 per cent from 1996 to 2000.. Hopefully this statistic has positively improved..

Economics is a daily life.. Economics is not boring.. Trust me!! What u need actually is the interest on the above mentioned subject..

An Economist is a very special person, he/she is someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing..

No one can get something for nothing.. Even if something appears to be free, there is always a cost even though that cost may be hidden.. Hence, there is nothing free!! There can not be anything free.. This proven by the "Opportunity cost" and "No-Free-Lunch (NFL) Theorem"..

Say a guy wanted to have a can of Coke and Nasi Bungkus for his lunch but he has only $1 with him.. So with this limited resources ($1), he have to choose either to buy the can of Coke or Nasi Bungkus only.. He can not have both..

If he choose a can of Coke, he has to let go the Nasi Bungkus.. So the cost of having a can of Coke is the Nasi Bungkus..

The term "opportunity cost" can be defined as the next best alternative forgone..

As for the NFL Theorem, you may get free food at a cafe/fine-dining restaurant, but in reality the you might have been chare indirectly charge for the cost..

In conclusion: "There Ain't No Such Thing As Free"

Aint it interesting? So we should be able to prove that Economics is fun and an interesting subject..

Suggestions on how to increase the awareness on Economics are:

Current situation / Risks: Very Limited

1. The number of Students taking Economics are very limited..

2. The number of Economics Teachers/Tutors/Lecturers are very limited..

Ways to overcome / Controls:

1. The government, through the Ministry of Education (MOE) should increased the number of secondary school that offers Economics..

2. The limited number of Economics students could be improved by making Economics as a core subject for all the upper secondary students.. From my observation, most of the school that offers this subject as an optional subject only..

3. A good supply of quality educated teachers/tutors/lecturers can be made possible if there is a specifically designed Economics-teaching course.. I know there is BA Economics course offered by UBD, but these undergraduates need to be properly trained as a teacher first.. PGCE after or before teaching..

If the PGCE was to be taken after a period of teaching then, will they know what it really takes to be an educator? If it was to be taken after the PGCE, it would have taken so many years of the future Economics-educator-to-be.. 4 Years for local degree and then a year of PGCE, making it +/- 6 years.. Ehehe.. Even the quota for BA Economics applicants is very limited too..

But the situation would be different if there is existence of special economics teaching course made available here..

Here, i should not fail to see that currently UBD do offers a BA Education with Economics but the number is far insignificant.. I'll double check on the number of enrolment soon..

Btw, its almost true that the Economics teachers and tutors perhap some lecturers too, are over dependent on the text book.. The Economics text and reference books especially the one by John Sloman, John Perkins and Hashim Ali.. :P)

I was supposed to write a posting on Exchange Rate last Tuesday but i was a little bit too lazy.. Okay, till then happy Reading!!

HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards!!

HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards was held earlier this afternoon at the 4th floor of the Hua Ho, Mall.. This event will be updated later.. Seeya..

Updated:

Well in actual fact, the invitation was at 1.30 in the afternoon and i was late for that event.. I arrived there around 10 minutes to 2 and luckily the event wasnt started yet..

While waiting for the arrival of the Guest of Honour, spent a good time to read the 'booklets' - aturcara majlis.. Whahaha.. Looking on to the list of final judges, am so impressed.. Wow!! A good line of judges namely (from the left on picture):

1. Mr. Tareq Muhmood, the CEO of HSBC
2. Dr. Joyce Teo, the Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research UBD
3. Mr. Albert Tan, the Managing Director of Great Future Sdn Bhd - Vincci
4. Hj Shazali Sulaiman, the Partner of KPMG Auditors

I know these reputable people will obviously pick the right contestant as the champion..

As for the finalist, there were three 3 teams:

1. S.B Employment Agency consists of Suserena Hj Mohd Hashim and Ampuan Mohd Badruddin Asri bin Ampuan Hj Said, both from the Business School.. Their business plan was to open up an employment agency offering services mainly for the local citizens in seeking, finding and/or trainning people for suitable jobs..

2. Wafe Waffle is a team of two daughter of Md Salleh, namely Nurul Hamizah and Nurul Husna.. Hamizah is a student of the Business School, whilst her sister is an undergraduate student of UBD.. Manufacturing and supplying starch-based non-biodegradable cutleries which benefits the environment was their business proposal..

3. Lee Kheng Sien and Shalom Grace Leong made the Reyes and Lee Corp with an idea to give the recycling business a touch of convinience and benefit for everyone, mainly community, business and the environment..

The Guest of Honour for the award ceremony was the Deputy Minister of Industry and Primary Resources Dato Hj Hamdillah Hj Abdul Wahab.. He in his welcome speech mentioned that the government under the MIPR is now in the process of restructuring the existing government financial scheme, both the Enterpise Facilitation Scheme (SKP) and the Micro-Credit Financing Scheme (SKM).. SKP for the big operation whilst SKM for those operating in small size..

Well for the benefit of sharing, i would like to mention here that both of this schemes were allocated under the Industrial Development Fund (IDF)..
Info:

1. Enterprise Facilitation Scheme (SKP)
- It covers only 4 sectors: Agriculture, Fishery, Tourism and Manufacturing..
- Maximum loan of $1.5 million at an interest of 4% per annum on the declining balance and the repayment of loan are maximum of 7 years depending on the time of investment..

2. Micro-Credit Financing Scheme (SKM)
- Aimed at existing enterprises and/or viable start-up enterprise..
- Maximum loan of $30K with an interest rate of 4% on the declining balance and the term of loan for up to 3 years..

Restructuring (still in-progress):
- Increase in the loan repayment period..
- Increase in the maximum amount of loan..
- Increase in the sector covers such as ICT..

I'll comment about the finalist presentation on another posting.. This posting is a lil bit too 'rojak' already.. However, the receipient of the awards are as follow:

Gold Award : S.B Employment Agency
Silver Award: GreenSpiration
Bronze Award: Wafe Waffle

Delon - Terbalik

Currently madly in love with this song.. Music-wise the song is not of an exceptional material but what i love most about this song is the lyric.. It sounds like a doa to me.. Ok, enjoy the lyric: Lagu Delon - Terbalik

Tuhan aku ingin mencurahkan isi hatiku kepada-Mu
Dia tak kuanggap tak kupandang, sama sekali ku tak cinta
Tapi sesuatu tlah terjadi menjadi terbalik
Kini kurasa yang dia rasa padaku

Reff :

Jika cinta biarkanlah aku jadi cinta
Jika sayang biarkanlah aku jadi sayang

Dia kuhindari kujauhi sama sekali ku tak cinta
Tapi sesuatu tlah terjadi menjadi terbalik
Kini kurasa yang dia rasa padaku

Back to Reff 3x

Jadi Terbalik

Challenges in Business..

Its not easy to start up a new business.. So many things need to be done.. Its good to think big but better to start small.. "sikit-sikit, lama-lama jadi bukit"

Greater risks to start big.. Dont expect things so much.. Great expectation leads to a huge disappointments.. So make sure the forcasted/budgeted aim of the business is something obtainable..

Will write more on this again later this morning.. Its quarter to 4am and am still wide awake.. I need to sleep now.. Till then seeya~

Issues on Import and Export..

I've write a long posting for this but it wasnt automatically saved neither it was saved on my draft.. I'll re-write everything tomorrow..

Sorry that i couldnot re-write the whole thing on the day that i supposed to re-write it.. Oh, its 19th May now.. Its my lifetime best friend's Iza's Birthday.. Well, i'll write a special posting about her later on a seperate post.. Hahaha..

Ok, back to my posting on the issues on Import and Export here in Brunei.. Well yesterday (not today, am refering to early last week), i had a discussion on the above mentioned subject with some friends.. We were accompanied by the The Founder and Executive Chairman of ASAFF Group, Haji Abdul Saman Ahmad..

Well, before i go further discussing the Issue of Imports and Exports.. I'll shared the biography of Haji Abdul Saman Ahmad..

He is the Founder and Executive Chairman of ASAFF Group and active member of both intra and extra national bodies engaged in economic development. He has interests in logistics, shipping, education, telecommunications and information technology. Through ASAFF's subsidiary, Circle Freight International Sdn Bhd, Haji Abdul Saman Ahmad was instrumental in setting up BIACC Sdn Bhd, a joint venture with Royal Brunei Airlines created to ground handling of cargo loading and freight services at Cargo Terminal, Brunei International Airport. Haji Abdul Saman Ahmad has served as Secretary General of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam and held official posts on several other trade organisations

Taken from the website of ASAFF Telecommunication Services, Brunei Darussalam.. http://www.circle.com.bn/

Okay, well he shared some statistical data that The volume of Brunei Imports is much higher that the volume of our Exports.. Statistics of Brunei Imports, Exports and Trade Balance for the year 2007..

Exports (X) = 404.6
Imports (M) = 139.6
Total (X - M) = -264.9
Note: All figures are in millionS of U.S dollars..

Source: http://www.census.gov/foreign-trade/balance/c5610.html#2008 and more data on Brunei's Imports and Exports can be found at: http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/2006/september/tradoc_113360.pdf

But my concern here is not the terms "Imports" and "Exports" but more to the terms "Re-ship" and "Tranship"

Owh.. Go and google the term.. Am so lazy to do so.. And in actual fact am kinda sleepy now.. Will update this again later..

My Comment:

The reson why i am posting this forwarded email is that, it is very close to the way of our life.. Its all about relationship.. I know its very difficult to maintain a good relationship but when there is a want, there is always a way..

Its always that, people will only realise their mistake and regret it after they lose that someone.. Why should we start to care and miss that person only after neglecting their feelings?

Miscommunication is very bad for any relationship.. People should start to improve their communication skills in order to strengrgen their relationship.. Take communication skills class, if possible..

Lastly, if u feel that u've hurt someone feeling, dont afraid to ask for their forgiveness.. Its hard to seek for forgiveness but the courage to do so is highly appreciated..

Am very sorry, if i either directly or indirectly has

Hanya Kau Yang Mampu

Aizat - Hanya Kau Yang Mampu

The first time i listened to this song was weeks ago.. I bet it was last mid last month when the song was either nominated as a new song or just as a guest performance for Muzik-Muzik.. Cant actually remember whether they still call the programme as Muzik-Muzik or change it to Juara Lagu already..

At that particular time, Aizat looked a lil bit smaller / slimmer in size.. He himself.. As for his song, i love the lyric.. Great song for new comers.. The song was fully written and produced by Aizat's siblings.. There was nothing wrong about his performance but its just way to simple.. Normal.. Nothing special on it.. Maybe just maybe Aizat himself doesnt have the aura and charisma to bring something special to his performance.. Perhaps its his appearance doesnt attract me..

But thing is a lil bit different when "Hanya Kau Yang Mampu" was performed by Nubhan last night.. Actually am not a fan of him.. I myself wonder, why he is so lucky to get all those beautiful song especially from Indonesia.. As for now i love both his rendition of "Tak Bisa Memilihmu" and "Hanya Kau Yang Mampu" only.. He simply killed "Dealova"

But again, from last night performance, i must say he has done a great work for the song.. I could simply forget the Aizat's version.. His voice!! Gosh!! Perhaps his small body package does influenced my opinion.. Owh, i dont care whether my panat's geng Rabi, dont like him or whatsoever.. He is far much better that that operatic Stanley..

Look at Nubhan's photo above.. Gosh!! A better version!! Its definitely something!! The photo was taken directly from a very vocal Malaysian entertainment blogger (the manager of Ning)..

Ku cuba redakan relung hati
Bayangmu yang berlalu pergi
Terlukis di dalam kenangan
Bebas bermain di hatiku

Cerita tentang masa lalu
Cerita tentang kau dan aku
Kini tinggal hanya kenangan
Kau abadi di dalam hatiku

Harusnya takkan ku biarkan engkau pergi
Membuat ku terpuruk rasa ingin mati
Derita yang mendera kapan akan berakhir
Hanya engkau yang mampu taklukkan hatiku

Cerita tentang masa lalu
Cerita tentang kau dan aku
Kini tinggal hanya kenangan
Kau abadi di dalam hatiku

Harusnya takkan ku biarkan kau pergi
Membuat ku terpuruk rasa ingin mati
Derita yang mendera kapan akan berakhir
Hanya engkau yang mampu taklukkan hatiku

Aku cinta ooohhhhhh
Aku cinta oooooooo
Aku cinta ooohhhhhh
Aku cinta oooooooo

Harusnya takkan ku biarkan engkau pergi
Membuat ku terpuruk rasa ingin mati
Derita yang mendera kapan akan berakhir
Hanya engkau yang mampu taklukkan hatiku

Aku cinta ooohhhhhh
Aku cinta oooooooo
Aku cinta ooohhhhhh
Aku cinta oooooooo

Hanya engkau yang mampu taklukkan hatiku
ooooo

Baghban!! Baghban!! Baghban!!

Menangis jua ku ulehnya tu.. Uwa.. Uwa.. Uwa.. Apakan tarus-tarus jua ceta ku atu ah.. Hahahaha.. Well actually yesterday afternoon i spent a good 3 hours time watching a Hindi movie on TV3.. Its being long that i didnt have the time to watch a Hindi movie.. Maybe the reason for this is the long hours of its running time.. For god sake, many things could be done within that 3 hours time.. Whahahaha..

The movie was selected to venerate the upcoming mother's day celebration.. Urm before stating the reason why i love this Hindi movie Baghban, i'd like to attach here the synopsis of the movie it self.. This was taken from the:

The movie tells the story of Raj Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan), his wife Pooja (Hema Malini) and their four sons Ajay, Sanjay, Rohit, and Karan. Raj and Pooja have provided their children with everything they wanted, often at the cost of Raj and Pooja's own requirements.

The Malhotras also have an adopted son Alok (Salman Khan), who is in love with Arpita (Mahima Chaudhary) (both in special appearances). Alok was an orphan and Raj had provided him with money and education. Now a successful man, Alok worships Raj because of all his help.

Raj has a flourishing job, but once he retires, he and Pooja decide to live with their kids to get their love. One problem - their kids don't want them. This is where the story takes a sharp turn; the children decide to split the parents up and for 6 months they will live with two of the four sons and for the next 6 months they will live with their third and fourth sons.

The story shows how the aged parents endure this separation as well as horrible treatment from their children after all they have done for them in the past. Saddened by the treatment he has received from his children and their families, Malhotra publishes a book called Baghban for which he wins a cash award and gains popularity. It is now that the children come back to their parents, asking for their forgiveness, when they really want their money. But Raj ignores them and lives with Pooja, Alok and Arpita, while disowning the rest of his sons.

Movie-goer's Review:

Okay, the movie has a good theme - people should not forget their parents and discard them when they get old. However, I don't see some of the things happening in real life, especially things like Amitabh's glasses not being repaired. Sometimes the anger was also justified such as the late-night typewriter incident and the daughter coming back home at 3 AM (since they didn't know the true story).

Somethings were just over-doing it, such as Salman and Mahima literally worshiping Salman's parents. The ever-growing love between Amitabh and Hema was really sweet. It was nice to see elderly, true love after watching cliched perfect 20s romance in every movie. What I especially didn't like about this movie is that it put women back in the 19th century where they are supposed to sit on the edge of their chair every evening, waiting for their husband to open the door; they should live in the kitchen. Hema's dialogue, "Times may change, but a woman's role never changes" ticked me off.

However, this whole movie was made up by the climax, which was one extraordinary speech by Amitabh. His perfect eloquence is unmatchable by any other orator in Indian cinema. His words envelope you and take you on an emotional roller coaster.

My Review:

The movie start a lil bit slow.. Someone with no patience will simply go and dont watch the movie.. Well as a fan of Salman Khan (Not a big fan of him though.. But he is much better than the other khan's) his appearance in the movie was only after almost 30 minutes of its show time.. Sakit ati jua lah i tunggu.. The other sons and daugther-in-laws were not famous.. So i dont really bother about them..

The happiness of their family institution can be seen clearly on their wedding anniversary of the couple.. This couple is so romantic in the sense that they do love and care about each other.. they know each other very well.. Gosh!! Simply a perfect couple.. For no obvious, i keep on smiling watching their actions and reactions..

The husband cant do do the tie himself, so every morning the wife would do the tie for him..

The wifey ask him: "why cant u do the tie yourself"
The husband answered: "if i do the tie my self, then i would not have time for this" (while hugging her lovely wife"

Aint that romantic?

The husband and wifey thought that their partner forget about their wedding anniversary but in actual fact, they are not.. They simply want their partner to greet them first..

Owh whenever the husband is not with the wifey, he always feel that he can live without her.. The husband says: "i cant breath without u"

"my heart beats when u are by my side" added the husband..

Aint that cutely-romantic?

Then the whole big family came to the couple house and requested for a wedding anniversary celebration.. Urm.. Many people idolize the way the couple has raised their children.. The couple simply raised their children with full of care and love.. They put their children requirment as a main priority and their's goes next.. They were simply self-sacrificing..

But not long after that the husband retired and wanted to spend more time with the family members and want to live with them too.. But the children very reluctant to have them and in order to indirectly say no to their father wish, they made this so stupid arrangement to split their parents..

Gila ni durang ah.. How in the world can we separate a pair of two?

Lets imagine it in the case of shoes.. How can be a pair of shoes be functioned if there is only one side of the shoe only?

Now lets imagine it in the case of a trousers? would u wear a trouser without the "s"? Hell u would be naked in the public..

So is couple, it would not be meaningful to live without the love partner.. Stupid children..

No matter what due to believe and trust on their children, the wifey would not wnat to think negative of their children and suggested that they should give it a try.. But when this happened, they received an ill treatment from their son and their daughter-in-law too..

Nanges ku!! Nanges ku!! Nanges ku!!

Enough.. i have write enough about the movie and try to write less just to wrap things up..

Luckily, the couple has adopted a son by the name of Alokh (acted by Salman Khan).. He as an adopted son loves the couple far much better than the love the couple got from their own children.. Alokh does not only love and care of the couple but also respect them..

The morale of the story here is that:

1. Age of love:
Age doesnt stop people to be in love and to show their love.. Love at the young age might not be good but neither its bad.. The thing to be noted here is to support each other..

2. Love is pure:
Do not pretend to love somebody.. If you dont love that someone, simply go and tell her/him your feelings.. U dont have to act good but in actual fact u dont love them in return.. By doing so, actually hurt that someone's fellings.. Cruel u!!

Its almost normal that when u love someone, that someone doesnt love u in return.. And when someone loves u, u dont love that someone back.. I would say the probability for this situation to happen is almost 74%.. Hahahaha.. The remaining percentage are on a better side..

3. Love needs no reasons:
U should not love someone because of their background, wealth and so on.. Its bad to do so..

I hate to say this but there is people out concerns about looks.. Looks come first.. Then another some out there want looking on the partner's to be financially stable.. Owh, another some have many other reasons..

Loving someone with reason, wont last long!! Trust me!!

4. Share your love:
If there are lots of love then try to love someone who really needs the love.. There is people out there never get the chance to feel what love is.. Some out there simply have too much love with them.. So why dont we just share the love with others especially with those that is a lil bit unfortunate?

Everyone deserves to be loved.. It reminds me of the song: "loved to be loved by you"

5. Appreciates the love..

Do appreciate those people around you and their love too.. U might never knows that you'll regret it in the future for not appreciating the love given at the first place..

Its much better to be with someone who loves u, than be with someone who doesnt love u.. So appreciate those people out there who loves you..

The Monthly Statement..

Oh yeah, today i received my very first monthly statement from B-Mobile Communication Sdn Bhd for the usage of my Zoom Data..

My current bill is $35.36.. Urm, the plan is capped at $40 for unlimited usage.. So i bet i should have unlimit my usage.. Ehehe..

As for the detail of my usage:
SMS: $1.26
Data Access: $1142..50

Data Access free unit: 2048MB..
Total MB Used: 4330MB..
Chargeable MB Used: 2285MB..

Whahaha.. My usage for last month was double as compared to the free unit.. Its strongly advisable for me to fully utilize the capped system at the rate of $40 for unlimited usage.. Ehehe..

The statement isnt that user friendly as the total charges was $1142.50.. Cant they simply put the real charges rate to be paid.. Was my total loan included to that amount? U make me a lil bit confused here.. Ehehe..

Owh but thing for sure am glad that the monthly statement was mailed at a reasonably right timing.. In contrast, I have to wait for my prima monthly statement for ages..

Luckily, DST has a good Customer Management System i.e the availability of 'My Dst' via www.dst-group.com or by dialing to the newly voice-over through 151.. However, i must say that the wizard application is idle usage.. Its functionless.. It takes so long to wait the never ending wait.. Whahaha.. Another way to know the monthly charges is simply go to the Dst counters nationwide.. So a lil advice is that to improve the billing system.. Huhuhu..

Congrates Dst for the official launching of 3.5 Go! Broadband..
"More to come"

Ok, its preety late now.. I better sleep now and update this posting later.. I have meeting later this afternoon.. Expecting a quick meeting only.. Meeting, meeting and another meeting yet no changes has been made.. How will there be any changes if the whole thing in actual fact has not been started?

Catch all readers later.. (if there is any readers though)..

The Almost 2 Hours Talk..

This morning i attended an almost 2 hours talk presented by the BIBD personnel.. There were four of them, all with position of either Manager or Assistant Manager.. How i wish i can that position, at least or better.. Ehehehe..

Am not sure about their names though but the main presenter was Hj Zainul, the Sales Manager of BIBD and the so-called second speaker was Pg Sanusi Iskandar Pg Hj Ismail of the Corporate Banking Division... Perhaps, Pengiran is the Manager of Corporate Department..

Well actually, it wasnt the first time for me to meet Pengiran.. Sometime, late last year, i did went to his office at the BIBD, Headquarters to make a corporate bank transfer for one of the DST Group subsidiaries.. Cant remmember whether it was for DST Payphone or DST Technical Services coz am affiliate with both subsidiaries..

Owh well, he did introduce himself at the end of the talk, that he was trained under the Semaun Holding sometime years ago.. And one of his "child" was the development of the Mahkota Crystal.. Wow!! What an accomplishment!!

Despite the fact that he only joined BIBD last 4 years but he is the one who responsibles for the government SME Scheme facilitate by BIBD under the MIPR..
Apart from that, obviously under the mentioned department, he also in charge of the corporate entities.. He takes care of looking after all those organisations accounts.. Thanks Pengiran..

During the short presentation, he also shared the problem of today's business plan..

I quote: "They are just too confident but not realistic.. They budgeted that the payback period will be just after 8 months of the business operation"

Further more he continued that: "any business organisations shouldnt be big but what important most is that not only to explore the market but also to penetrate the products for exports too.. If it cant be exported to the international market, then start with the regional market first"

Then i asked him a question with regards to SME Development in Brunei.. Its always the case that, the local has insufficient amount of capital to start up their business operations.. The start-up cost is simply high and to get bank to finance the whole expenses is somehow very difficult..

Most banks will only willing to give the fund to those businesses that have operated more than 3 years with good financial background i.e financial stability.. The same thing happened to the newly launch SME Scheme being offered by SCB..

So my question was, apart from the nature of the business does BIBD requires the same minimum of 3 years operation.. If so, it would be a big help for the new business starter..

But, in response to my question, Pengiran explained that: "the government help for these SME Development, the above mentioned situation is not the case.. The government do help the new starter too.. However, every business plain will then be reviewed by the BIBD, SUT of MIPR and some MIPR Departments.. The seven 'puak' are entitle to apply the fund scheme"

Owh i have talk long enough about all this talk and SME as a whole.. But i should thanks the BIBD for sharing such information.. I might continue this posting later or perhaps in the near future.. It is an interesting topic to be discussed..

A great lunch time..

I had a great lunch time with my panatz & A+ best friends.. So many things to be shared here.. Urm, i wont take so much of your time here..

This posting will be continued further on my blog posting later..

Catch ya up later..

Owh as being mentioned in my bulletin, earlier today i had a great lunch with my best friends.. We as in Me, Rabi, Mijah, Hudz, Jamz and Mona went to the mall food court for our lunch..

Me and Mijah ordered Shangla Chix at Machi.. Rabi, Hudz and Mona got Jollibee's for their order.. While as for Jamz, she had something 'sizling'.. Cant actually remember her order.. Well, K-rul & Zatol joined us too..

So there were the 8 of us, in the heart of the food court.. Then Rabi, my panatz geng have a long conversation with Mr. Casper.. Whahaha.. They can be a good pair.. Opz sorry!!

Then there were also Mirah, Hafiz, Mai and Chicken.. Ehehe.. They grabbed different tables though..

After spending like more than half an hour, Rabi went into the air.. Ilang ya wah slajur kna kidnap uleh Mr.Casper.. Biar ya kna culik eyh.. Whahaha..

Tetiba Hudz tanya Mijah..

Hudz: "bila th kmu plan kn kawin?"

Mijah: "adalerr"

Then all those stupid yet funny adults questions accidentally pop-up.. And the thing here is that those questions were discussed on a public area.. For god sake, we are too loud for that place.. Hopefully, no one 'curi dengar' to our conversation.. Inda payah curi dangar pun kdangaran lai.. Hahaha..

The conversation somehow goes like below:

Q: Cana tu if ko kawin a day before exam? Would u 'do it' or blajar?

A:: Whahaha.. Buat dua-dua lah.. Ku membangkang dgn buku then ia brusah.. *opz*

That is in the situation that the lady is still study while the guy is working.. Ehehe.. Then only we start to create other approaches for different situations.. Huhuhu..

Q: Eyh if the guy blajar and the girl kaja cana plg tu?

Then we have this one partner suits for this situation.. Not to be disclosed here.. Gotta ask their permision first..

A: Awu ah.. If catu tpaksa th the guy yg d bwah tu eyh sambil me-revise.. Biar the lady yg dominate the game.. Whahahaha..

At that point of time, we were laughing out very loud.. Damn!!

So another friend, asked some sort of similar question..

Q: So what if both are still study?

A: Mun blajar jgn th wah.. Bektah blajar dulu.. But sure thing anak durang pandai tu eyh.. Whahaha..

Then i texted Rabi and told her to just go down to the ground floor straight away.. Kmana sja kh ilangnya anak ani.. Then we did some window shopping.. Try-test-cuba the kasut... Babes, the high heels lawa!! The boots, urm a total no-no for u girls.. Nada zip wah.. Pyah krg masuk.. *opz*

Then all the way long, dlm krita atu we keep on laughing for that stupid yet kinda funny adults questions.. Then Mona asked Rabi the same sort of questions..

Guys, telling u the truth her answers were the most sincere.. "jujur" benar budak itu.. Whahaha.. She's kinda indecisive at times.. Huhuhuhu.. She picked the guy to be a student at first then change it to currently working.. Whahaha.. But i could understand that, her Mr.B is a combination of both..

Owh as a response to my opening bulletin, Rabi my panatz best friend's posted a bulletin about the lunch as well..

LOL. Ui mr faiz hs geng panat ku, haha, i enjoyed our "lancut" tadi hahaha. Panat bnr. Baru jua smpai d food court, dah tah membuat dusa haha. Ingat ko bini2 ah cali skirt nya? Hahaha. Aduii . And masa dlm keta tdi lagi hancurr haha. Gila2-han kamu ah. Tapi syg eh tani inda begambar ramai2 td ah.

Then in another posting, she added that:

Ui panat, ada satu lgi ku kelupaan pasal tadi ah.. Baru ku teingat. Haha. "derita batin!!" hahahaha. Ingat ko? Haha. Taloo jawapan ku ahh hahaha.

Back to her answer, she was saying that if she is still studying and the guy is currently working, so she want herself to be on top of the guy body while she herself continue revising her notes.. whahaha..

I quote: "TERKAM AJA"

Whahahaha.. Cant never imagine a very feminine girl like her will be that wild on bed.. Ehehehe.. Perhaps people tend to be not themselves when bed is concern.. :p

Further more when asked the reason for her reaction, then she claimed that: "DERITA BATIN"

Huhuhu.. Aint that cool? Babe, i love u.. At least, we are not those cheap plastic peoples who acting innocence but in actual fact are so blablabla.. Denial!!

Owh, yeah i almost forget to include that part where there is this one girl wearing some weird skirt.. very the old fashioned one with a striking colour.. "beripul-ripul" and "be-umbak-umbak".. More like a mop to me.. *opz*

Pcaya mun aku inda th ku bjln bh tu.. Yatah pkainya bdating tu eyh.. Pkainya "mengulit"..

Enuf as for now..

"SEMPURNA"

Owh.. this is my very first new posting in this new blog.. Whahahaha.. Its not easy to start this new blog.. The challenges came from the tasks of moving the old postings from the old friendster blog to this new blogspot of mine..

Urm, okay as a start i would just like to share the lyric of this one song that i teribbly in love now.. Yeah its the OST song for the re-make box office movie.. It was a Malaysian movie and re-make to an Indonesian movie.. From "CINTA" to "LOVE", it is so perfect!! Simply "sempurna"..

Ok, talking about the song "sempurna" i fell in love with this song renditioned of Gita Gutawa.. If it wasnt Rabi, my panatz best friend's i would think that its a brand new song.. But it was actually a song populared by a band named Andra and the Backbone.. Gosh!!

Its not until yesterday (Saturday, 3rd May) that i listen to the very original singer/band version.. It was Mirah, my other panatz best friend's, who played the song on her laptop.. It wasnt a bad version.. Oh.. I should rephrase my sentence, the original version is equally good as compared to the new version.. I simply love both version..

It offers a choice between the male version or the female version.. The kinda not-so-fast version or the slow version.. The macho-ish version or the cute-ish version.. Oh, it all depends on the listeners..

Some people might opt for the original version of the Andra and Backbone better, just like Rabi, my panatz best friend's..

But as for Mirah, my other panatz best friend's she claimed that the Gita Gutawa's version is "ok jua wah" while watching to the video-clip on youtube.. She seems to like both versions.. Perhaps love the original version and just like the new version..

On the other hand, obviously i opt for the Gita Gutawa's version to be the better ones.. Ok, people below is the lyric of the song: "SEMPURNA"

Kau begitu sempurna
Dimataku kau begitu indah
kau membuat diriku
akan slalu memujamu
Disetiap langkahku
Kukan slalu memikirkan dirimu
Tak bisa kubayangkan hidupku tanpa cintamu

*
Janganlah kau tinggalkan diriku
Takkan mampu menghadapi semua
Hanya bersamamu ku akan bisa

Reff:
Kau adalah darahku
Kau adalah jantungku
Kau adalah hidupku
Lengkapi diriku
Oh sayangku, kau begitu
Sempurna.. Sempurna..

Kau genggam tanganku
Saat diriku lemah dan terjatuh
Kau bisikkan kata dan hapus semua sesalku

Back to *
